SUMMARY:Eagle River Skyline Climb
DESCRIPTION:Ride together from Bartlett High Parking Lot to Eagle River Skyline Drive. Starts out with easy flat\, even pace (16 – 18 mph) to Eagle River. Once we hit Skyline Drive\, the group will split into those who want to climb skyline (8% grade and ~1200 ft of ascension for 1.5 miles) and those ready to return to Anchorage. We’ll regroup at the base of Skyline\, top of skyline\, and again at the base after descent. After climbing\, we’ll head for coffee/snacks and chat at Jitters coffee shop. We will return back to Bartlett HS via Eagle View Drive -> Glenn Highway Bike Path. Total ascent and mileage with the Skyline climb is around ~1\,800 feet and ~29 miles.  \nLink to ride: https://www.strava.com/routes/3354237264486767662 \nLike paces will be paired up.  \nMeet in the parking lot at Bartlett High just before 9 am. Introductions and bike check. Ride out together.  \nRiders are free to ride back at anytime they like or coordinate with the group on the return.  \nRide safely. Recommend front and back lights\, gloves\, snacks and two bottles of water\, bring extra tube and air : be ready to change tubes\, there is always at least one person who flats.  \nHelmets required.  \nPlease communicate if you turn back early. \nRide at your own risk.
