This September, CMBR executive director Will Taygan joined IMBA and Outdoor Alliance’s Grasstops Collective on Capitol Hill, bringing Alaska’s mountain biking community into conversations about our public lands.
IMBA does tremendous work for mountain biking nationally. It was a privilege to work alongside their team and fellow advocates, share what matters to Alaska riders, and learn from people working for trails across the country.
“The best backcountry riding near our community is on national forest land, so what happens in D.C. affects us directly.”
—Will Taygan, CMBR Executive Director
Our message: build shared trails with mountain biking in mind. More flow, better riding, and great experiences for everyone enjoying Alaska’s backcountry!
Thanks to IMBA and Outdoor Alliance for the training, introductions, and opportunity to do this work together.
